I finally opened my eyes to Ludwig's sleeping face. His hair was unkempt, falling into his face. His aqua orbs were closed, and his mouth was slightly agape. The warm breath that escaped his lips tickled my neck. My hands were resting on his bare chest, and my head was tucked into his neck. A smile crept onto my face, as I snaked a hand to the side of his face, stroking my thumb over his cheekbone; he faintly smiled in his sleep. I began pushing back some of his loose, golden hair out of his face, though it was futile to keep it back; so I settled on just running my (s/tone) fingers though it. His hair shined in the morning light and his face was illuminated in a pleasing way. Looking back at the clock, I sighed. It was an hour until I had to leave for work. I fought the urge to lie in bed all day and settled on what I needed to do.
I pulled myself up a bit, to place a faint kiss on his lips, before sliding out of bed. I spotted a shirt of Ludwig's lying on the dresser and decided to wear that for now, so I slipped it over my bare body. It was much to big for my small form; the hem hung to just above my knees. I glanced back at Ludwig; hasn't even stirred. I made my way to the kitchen to make a pot of coffee and some morning sausage and eggs. Just as I was placing the food that was on a large plate, in the middle of the table, the arms of my Germanic husband wrapped around me.
"Guten Morgen, meine Liebe," Ludwig mumbled, his voice being muffled in my (h/l) (h/c) hair.
"Mm, good morning, Luddy," I replied. I could hear grumbling from him; he didn't like it when I call him, 'Luddy'. I couldn't help but giggle in response to his discomfort.
"Why don't you take a seat, Luddy?" I said, with a smirk, turning my head a bit to see his reaction. He let go of me and threw his head back, grumbling. I turned around and playfully punched him in the arm. He looked down at me with an expression of seriousness, however a faint grin crawled onto his face.
"Okay, okay. Here, eat up. I've gotta get ready," I said, starting to walk back to the bedroom. Ludwig gently gripped my arm, stopping me. He pulled me onto his chest, my hands were resting on it too. He looked into my eyes for a moment before leaning down to kiss me. The action looked rather rough, though his kiss was soft and sweet. I wanted to pull back, but he wouldn’t let me. I just gave in and wrapped my arms around his neck. Ludwig placed his hand on the side of my face, deepening the kiss.
“Lu-Ludwig… dear,” I breathed, between kisses. He grunted in question. “I-I have to get ready…”
“Why don’t you stay, today?” Ludwig pleaded, pulling back.
“Come on, Ludwig… I have to. It’s not that I want to go, because I’d stay all day if I could,” I begged him to let me go. He sighed and let me slip away. “Thank you.” I got ready for work, minus the shower, which I had no time for. I packed my satchel bag, filling it with documents and such for work. Looking at the clock, I was already starting to run late.
“Shit…” I muttered under my breath, tossing the satchel over my shoulder and quickly grabbing my purse. I sped walked to the door only worrying about getting out of here. Just as my fingers grazed the metallic doorknob, I remembered I should say bye to Ludwig. Ludwig was putting the empty plate into the sink when I entered the room. He didn’t notice me come up behind him. My touch startled him a bit.
“See ya,” I said, kissing his cheek. I turned around to leave, though Ludwig’s voice rang out.
“(Y/n)… Please don’t go… bitte…” Ludwig pleaded, placing his hands on my turned shoulders.
“…Ludwig… You know I can’t…” I mumbled. It hurt me to leave him alone, especially when he really wanted my company. I leaned up to faintly kiss him. Once again, he didn’t let me go. I mumbled his name on his lips, wanting him to stop. He just shushed me. I tried to push myself away, but Ludwig picked me up to ensure him of no escape. He held me with one arm, and with the other he gently placed my satchel and purse on the counter.
“Ludwig…” I repeated. If I didn’t get away now, I wouldn’t be able to keep myself here. He just muttered a sound of negativity. Damn he was being stubborn. Ludwig showed no signs of giving in, so I just gave in myself. I sighed and whispered on his lips, “I’ll just call in sick…”
